Saraki’s Land Revoked by Kwara State Government

A land belonging to the Saraki family has been revoked by Kwara State Government following the allegation that it was hijacked from the state for personal use by the Saraki clan.

In the ’90s a land belonging to Kwara State was said to be fraudulently acquired by the Saraki dynasty and converted to their personal use.

The said land located in GRA Ilorin was occupied by Late Dr. Olusola Saraki, former Senate leader and the biological father to the former governor of the state and former President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

The land which is popularly called ‘Ilé Arúgbó’ or ‘Ilé Lókè’ was used by Late Oloye, to give alms and support to the aged and poor in the state during his days mainly for political gains, which report has it that it continues under Bukola Saraki.

Today, the said land has been revoked by the State Assembly and Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazak is set to use the land to build Civil Service Secretariat for the State.
