LAGFERRY BOSS SYMPATHIZES WITH AJEGUNLE PEOPLE OVER GAS EXPLOSION

The MD/CEO of Lagos Ferry Service, Hon AbdoulBaq Ladi Balogun, sympathises with the people of Ajegunle over the unfortunate incident of gas explosion that claimed at least seven lives and enormous valuable.

The inferno gulped houses and property worth millions of naira at Adufe Street in Ajegunle yesterday following a gas station explosion in the populated residential area.

Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun laments that he felt sorrowful on receiving the sad news particularly that lives were lost. He commiserates with the victims family, all the people affected and the Chairman of Ifelofun LCDA.

He commends the effort of the swift intervening fire fighters and the bravery displayed by men of the Lagos State Emergency Agency to put down the fire and rescue the victims. The press statement reads:

The day we will leave this world. The time and place where death will take our lives are some of the realities God from hitherto concealed from man. He is the sui- generis of our existence. That was why a Scholar once said; we are not the owner of the next seconds of our lives.

It was with sorrow i received the bad news of Aduke gas explosion which left many people homeless and denied many of their properties. The same incident took nothing less than 7 lives. Several hospitalized at Burn and Trauma Centre, Gbagada, LASUTH Ikeja, General Hospital. While some are also receiving treatments in private hospitals here in Ajegunle.”

This is indeed a sad news. May God forgive those who lost their lives in the process. And grant the hospitalized fast recuperation, amin.”

I commiserate with my brother the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Council Development Area LCDA-Hon. Fatai Shuaib Ajidagba and the people of Ifelodun at this trying time.

Also, to those who lost their valuables to the inferno, May God be with you and replace all that were lost with far better tidings soon. And to the deceased, may their souls find solace in God Almighty”.

I want to use this medium to commend the efforts and timely intervention of the Lagos State Fire Services and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) who fought gallantly to put down the fire and rescue the victims.

Signed: Hon. AbdoulBaq Ladi Balogun, MD/CEO Lagferry.
