Mikel Obi Retires from International Football

Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi call it quit with the Super Eagles as he retires from international football.

The 32 year old had a long, smooth and blistering career with the Nigeria national teams. He played from the U17 to the senior national side for 13 years and won various laurels and many individual accolades.

Mikel who just sign a contract with Turkey giant, Trabzonspor, announces his retirement immediately after winning the bronze medal in Egypt.

Obi is known for his domination in the midfield as a world class midfielder. He has played both as an attacking and a defending midfielder with the country side under different coaches, local and foreign.
