Mexican Drug Lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Sentenced to Life in Prison Plus 30 Years

A US court that sentenced the mob boss to jail also asked him to return the sum of $12.6billion from the proceed of his crimes.

Once the world’s most notorious druglord, the 62-year-old former co-leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel was convicted in February of crimes spanning a quarter century, including trafficking hundreds of tons of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamines and marijuana into the United States.

In order to document his notorious lifestyle, a movie titled “El Chapo” was produced where El Chapo was depicted to be a tough man with many cartel. In the movie, he escaped arrest many times and was forcefully released from custody on various occassion by his gang in Mexico.
