The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has lambasted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over the seizure of a few of his residential homes in Ikoyi, Lagos Naija News Live reports.

They include: 15a, 15b and 17 on MacDonald highway.

The seizure adopted the announcement of a recent probe against him by the anti-graft commission.

EFCC had defined that it was investigating Saraki’s earnings as governor of Kwara State between 2003 and 2011.

A press release issued on Sunday by Yusuph Olaniyonu, Saraki’s special adviser on media and publicity, learn: “Our consideration has been drawn to the fact that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has marked certain property belonging to Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, clearly below the declare that they’re subject of investigation.

“The motion of the EFCC solely strengthened our earlier acknowledged position that their present investigation is mischievous, opposite to the tenets of the rule of legislation and only aimed toward settling scores.

“This place is based on the truth that these similar buildings have been the subject of earlier investigations by the EFCC in addition to the case initiated by the Federal Authorities on the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

“Additionally, the case went all the way in which to the highest court in our nation, the Supreme Court of Nigeria. In that case, Saraki was discharged and acquitted because the courts consider the federal government has no case.”
